You may have heard in the news recently, about a hole in the OpenSSL security software used by most websites. This vulnerability, known as Heartbleed, has caused internet users a great deal of concern about online security in the last few weeks.
Appgravity’s security team performed an immediate assessment, and we are happy to share with our users the fact that we are in the clear! So you can be confident that using Appgravity will not expose you to any security risks when sending apps to your phone, or sharing your favorite apps with friends.
A more detailed explanation for our more technical users – Our servers run Redhat Enterprise 5 with OpenSSL 0.9.8. We also recently implemented Cloudflare in front of our servers to speed things up, however the Heartbleed issue was addressed prior to us implementing their services. This means none of our systems were at risk at any point.
We look forward to continuing to provide you with the best way to find new apps!
